Ancestor Stories - Ray Family

Joseph Ray Nov. 25, 1807 - April 16, 1855

Joseph Ray Nov. 25, 1807 - April 16, 1855 was the author of several mathematics books. Several sources on my great great great grandfather Hix Jones Ray state that Hix was related to the author of Ray's Mathematics, a popular math book in the 1800's. However, a post to the list netted me information about Joseph Ray and would lead me to believe that Hix was not related to Joseph. I offer this information about Mr. Joseph Ray.
